Arms, ammo seized
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered five pistols, six bullets and two magazines from bordering Naldubi village in Shibganj upazila on Wednesday night.
Tipped off, the border guards raided the area around 10:55pm, said Lt Col SM Salahauddin, commanding officer (CO) of BGB 59 Battalion.
Sensing their presence, the driver of a three-wheeler entered Indian territory, leaving the vehicle. Later, the BGB men recovered the pistols and bullets from the vehicle and also seized it, he said.
