AL leader dies of breathing difficulties in Tangail's Gopalpur
A local Awami League leader suffering from heart disease and breathing difficulties died in Tangail's Gopalpur upazila.
Civil surgeon of Tangail Dr Mohammad Waheduzzaman confirmed the news, reports our Tangail correspondent.
Physicians at Gopalpur Upazila Health Complex have collected the samples of the 55-year-old man and sent it for testing to Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) today.
Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Gopalpur Police Station, said the AL leader was buried in his village under the supervision of the medical team and a committee formed by the Islamic Foundation.
Following his death, upazila administration put his house under lockdown and barred everyone from entering and leaving the house, he added.
