5 neighbours arrested for killing boy

Police arrested five people on Sunday night in connection with the killing of a schoolboy in Kendua upazila of Netrakona.

The arrestees are Md Raisuddin, 55, Md Sahab Uddin, 50, Bachhu Mia, 40, Maju Mia, 50, and Babul Mia, 42, neighbours of the victim from Gogda village in Kendua.

The decomposed body of the 11-year-old boy was recovered from a pond on Sunday, said police.

The deceased was Jhony Mia, a Class IV student of a local primary school.
