20 Indian horses for cops
Twenty training horses for Bangladesh Police were imported from India through Benapole Land Port yesterday.
Benapole Port Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masud Karim said the horses were imported from India for use in Bangladesh Police Headquarters in Dhaka. The value of the imported horses is around $ 1,79,200.
The government earned Tk 15.42 lakh as tax. The exporter was M/S Pritam Singh.
Benapole Customs House Commissioner Belal Hossain Chowdhury said the authorities concerned were instructed to speed up delivery of the horses.
After completion of all formalities, the horses were taken to Savar Dairy Farm.
