2 smugglers held
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) yesterday arrested two smugglers with Indian phensidyl and a motorbike from Rumkhana frontier under Nageswari upazila of the district. The arrestees were identified as Badol Hossain, 37, son of Mansur Ali of Singerbhita village, and Nuru Mia, 35, son of late Gendu Sheikh of Varaitari village. According to sources of 45 BGB Battalion in Kurigram, a BGB team of Rumkhana BOP raided the Ramkhana village near border pillar No 951/S-3 at around 5:00am on the day, and arrested the two smugglers with 40 bottles of Indian phensidyl and one Indian Bajaj motorbike. The arrestees were handed over to Nageswari Police Station while the phensidyl was sent to Narcotic Control Department of the upazila.
