2 Naogaon schoolgirls found dead in separate incidents
Police today recovered the body of two schoolgirls from their residences in Atrai and Dhamairhaat upazila of Naogaon district in separate incidents.
In Atrai upazila's Peer Para area, police recovered the body of a 15-year old ninth-grader in an apparent case of suicide, said Md Moslem Uddin, officer-in-charge of Atrai Police Station.
Family members found the girl's body this morning and informed police, after which law enforcers recovered the body, the OC said, adding that they sent the body to Naogaon Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
"Whether it was a murder or suicide would be determined from the autopsy report," the OC added.
In Dhamairhaat upazila's Malahar village, the body of a 14-year old eighth-grader was recovered from their house around 2:00pm today, said Md Abdul Momin, officer-in-charge of Dhamairhaat Police Station.
On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body, the OC said, adding that they primarily suspected the girl died by suicide.
