Two children went missing while bathing in Jamuna river near Sariakandi upazila of Bogura today.
The missing children are: Md Selim, 9, son of Ranju Sheikh and Md Hridoy, 6, son of Mohammad Ali of Manikdair village under Chaluabari union of the upazila, our local correspondent reports quoting Md Shawkat Ali, chairman of the union parishad.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. "I heard that Selim and Hridoy went to the river around 11:30am and since then they have remained traceless," Noor Alam, Hridoy's uncle, told our correspondent.
On information, four divers of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation around 6:00pm and the operation was going on when the report was filed around 8:00pm, said the UP chairman.
