Negligence won’t be tolerated: Law minister to land registration officials

Law Minister Anisul Huq today warned land registration officials that any negligence in serving people will not be tolerated.

“You are the servant of people as per the constitution. You have been recruited to serve the people of this country. Any negligence in serving people is not expected, as your salaries and other facilities are given from the people's money,” he said.

The minister made the remarks while speaking to the officials at his secretariat office after they met and thanked him for promoting the department of registration to a directorate.

The department of registration was promoted to the directorate on January 2 in order to increase the citizen facilities.

“The government has a specific target and programmes to implement the promise made by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build Bangladesh a digital country by 2021. The main target is build Bangladesh a corruption free and knowledge bases county through establishing transparency, accountability and good governance,” AnisulHuq said.

Law Ministry’s Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Senior Secretary Mohammad ShahidulHaque and its Law and Justice Division Secretary ASSM ZahirulHaqueDulal and Inspector General of Registration Khan Md Abdul Mannan, among others, were present at the occasion.
