Second grader writes to PM, receives reply and love
A second grader has written to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and received a reply from the premier.
Syeda Raunaq Jahan Sejuti, second grader at Sonargaon upazila, Narayanganj, wrote to the premier last March 25 about how similar her recently deceased grandmother was to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Sejuti, daughter of Syed Rafiqul Islam, an assistant teacher at AGGS Smrity School, wrote about how Sheikh Hasina reminded her of her grandmother and went on to invite the premier over to her house.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wrote back to her with affection back on April 12.
PM Hasina wrote: "Take my affection. I hope, you, your father, mother and friends are well. I read your letter several times. I pray for the departed soul of your grandmother so that Almighty Allah would send her to the heaven."
Prime Minister Hasina requested the girl to study attentively and to go to school regularly. "Please remain loyal to your parents at all times. Serve the nation when you grow up. I send a photograph of mine. Many many doa and love to you," Hasina wrote in her letter.
The prime minister’s media staff have confirmed about the two letters to The Daily Star this evening.
The letters have already gone viral on different social media including the Facebook.
