Most roads in Lalmonirhat municipality in awful state

Most roads in the municipality have become unfit for movement of traffic, resulting in suffering of the people. 
Numerous potholes have developed on the roads because they have not been repaired for long. 
These are BDR gate to Sakoya road, Madoner Chawk to Nayarhaat road, Baniya Deghee road, Namatari road, Shwashan Colony road, BDR Haat road, Sadhutari road, Adarshapara road, and Thana road.
BDR gate to Sakoya is one of the important roads of Lalmonirhat municipality, but it is now in sorry state. The road has become unfit for vehicular movement.
Mohor Ali, a resident of Muktijoddha Chattar, said people from different areas of the district use BDR gate to Sakoya road everyday as it is the gateway to the town. “The townspeople can't move easily on the road,” he said. 
Nazrul Islam, a battery-run easy-bike driver, said passengers face immense trouble while going through the road by the three-wheeler.
Azgor Ali of Uttar Saptana area said people in the municipality area can't move on the roads comfortably because potholes have developed on them. 
Contacted, Mayor Reazul Islam Rintu said contractors have been selected through tenders for repair and extension of the roads. They will get work orders soon, the mayor added.
