Missing speech impaired girl found dead

Police recovered the decomposed body of a missing speech impaired girl from a bush near Darabganj shrine in Pirganj upazila of the district yesterday.

The deceased was Himu Akhter, 12, daughter of Hossain Ali of Bhelatoir Jamtoil village.

Himu went missing on October 12, said Md Amiruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Pirganj Police Station.

Informed by locals, police recovered the body from a bush in the area yesterday morning and sent it to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
