Depression at Bay: Maritime ports asked to keep hoisted signal No 1

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant Cautionary Signal No 1 owing to the depression that formed over the Bay of Bengal.

The depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining area moved slightly North-Northwestwards over the same area, according to the special weather bulletin published this morning by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

All fishing boat and trawler over North Bay have been advised to proceed with caution, according to the report.

They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
