Madrasa girl, boy kidnapped in Noakhali, Chuadanga
A madrasa girl and a teenage boy have been abducted in Noakhali and Chuadanga districts.
Criminals abducted a Class VIII student of Madhupur Dakhil Madrasa from Gopalpur village in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali yesterday, reports our correspondent.
Police and locals said a gang of three, allegedly led by local youth Azim, forced the 14-year-old girl of Madhupur village into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on her way to the madrasa around 9:00am and fled the scene.
The victim's mother filed a case, accusing Azim and his father Mojibul Haque, a village doctor of the same area, said Md Golam Farooq, officer-in-charge of Begumganj Model Police Station.
The law enforcers are raiding different areas to rescue the girl, said the OC.
In Chuadanga, a 16-year-old boy has been abducted for Tk 10 lakh ransom at Kabilnagar village in Alamdanga upazila of the district, reports our Kushtia correspondent.
The victim is Salek Uddin, son of Shamsul Alam of the village. He went missing on Saturday evening.
On Monday night, a gang called the family members over mobile and demanded the ransom money.
The victim's father filed a general diary with Alamdanga Police Station in this connection on Tuesday, said Officer-in-Charge Atiar Rahman of the PS.
Police are raiding different areas to rescue the boy, said the OC.
