Iskcon temple attack case sent to DB
The case for attack on Iskcon temple in Kaharol upazila of Dinajpur was transferred to Detective Branch (DB) of police on Saturday.
Ruhul Amin, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dinajpur, handed over the case to Dinajpur DB.
Md Redwanur Rahim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dinajpur DB, produced accused Mosabberul Alam before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, seeking 10-day remand. The court granted the prayer.
On Saturday, the same court granted a three-day remand to another accused Shariful Alam.
Humayun Kabir, deputy inspector general (DIG) of Rangpur range, said the arrested persons have links with Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), a banned Islamist outfit.
Talking with reporters, DB officials said they want to interrogate the arrestees to get more information from them. They have already got some vital information, which would be helpful in carrying out the investigation into the case.
