Housewife commits suicide

A housewife committed suicide in Chirirbandar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The deceased is Sultana Begum, 22, wife Md Jahedullah of Margaon village, and daughter of Sultan Mia of the village.

The woman, mother of a daughter, was found hanging from the ceiling of her bedroom at around 11:00pm.

Being informed, police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Atwar Hossain, sub-inspector of Chirirbandar Police Station, said the woman might have committed suicide following a quarrel with her family members over microcredit issue.
