Father, son die as Ctg school boundary wall collapses
A man and his 13-year-old son were killed as a boundary wall of a school collapsed in Chittagong city this afternoon.
Deceased Masudul Haq, 40, and his son Tasid Mahid, 13, were walking along the road when the boundary wall of Saint Plasid School collapsed around 12:30pm, our Chittagong correspondent reports quoting Sub-inspector Golam Faruk Bhuiyan of Kotwali Police Station.
The boundary wall was under repair, the SI said.
Masudul and Tasid were rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared them dead, said SI Jahirul Haq, in-charge of CMCH police camp.
The father along with his son was going to book air-tickets for India after dropping his daughter off at a nearby school -- Saint Scholastic -- when the incident occurred, SI Golam Faruk said.
Tasid Mahid was a student of Class VII at Lamar Bazar School under the city corporation.
