Ex-FDC MD Pijush sued for graft

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed a case against former managing director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC) Pijush Bandyopadhyay and three others in connection with embezzlement of over Tk 3.46 crore.

ACC Deputy Director Hamidul Hasan filed the case around 5:30pm against the four, including a Malaysian national in connection with the embezzlement of the money, Officer-in-Charge of the station Mizanur Rahman told The Daily Star.

ACC sources said the case was filed as the commission has found primary evidence that the money was embezzled while procuring equipments for the FDC.
