Easy-bike driver hacked to death

An easy-bike driver was killed by unidentified criminals at Batertal of Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila early yesterday. The deceased was Rubel Hossain, 20, son of Saidul Islam of Kashipur village in Mahendranagar union of the upazila. Police said the body was recovered from under a culvert in the area after locals saw it there and informed the police. It was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. They also recovered a spade and a sharp weapon that was used for hacking the victim from the spot. Sajeda Akhter, elder sister of Rubel, said her brother went out of the house on Monday evening, but he didn't say anything about any trouble he was facing, she said.
