Don’t publish news tarnishing country’s image: Home minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today called upon the journalists not to publish any news that demeans the country’s goodwill and achievements.
“I am humbly requesting you (journalist) not to publish any news that may tarnish country’s goodwill,” Kamal said while addressing a function at the National Press Club in Dhaka this afternoon.
The home minister also said local vested quarters are carrying out terrorist activities in a bid to halt the country’s progress and foil the ongoing trial of war criminals.
“I have told several diplomats that there is no existence of Islamic State in Bangladesh. Home grown terrorists are carrying out attacks and we are looking for their masterminds,” he added.
