Coronavirus suspicion: 5 of a Thakurgaon family kept in isolation test negative
Five members of a family, who were kept in isolation with flu-like symptoms at Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital, have tested negative, said Dr Nadirul Aziz, superintendent of the hospital.
Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) informed the hospital authorities today after testing samples of the five patients, our Thakurgaon correspondent reports quoting the superintendent.
The family, hailing from Bhelajan Nadipara village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, were sent to the isolation unit of Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Saturday night as they were showing coronavirus-like symptoms, said Dr Nadirul Aziz.
After an IEDCR team collected their samples on Sunday, the RMCH authorities sent them back to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital's isolation unit on the same night, he said.
