Police today filed a case in connection with yesterday’s bomb blast in front of a police box near Dhaka airport.

The case was filed with the Airport Police Station against some anonymous miscreants, including the attacker, under anti-terrorism act, Noor-E-Azam, officer-in-charge of the police station, told The Daily Star.

A man, aged between 30 and 32, was killed when a bomb attached to his waist exploded near the police box at the Airport intersection yesterday, according to police.

Hours after the incident, Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the blast. Terrorism monitoring group SITE Intelligence citing IS's mouthpiece Amaq news agency reported it as “suicide bombing”.
