BSF kills Bangladeshi national along Rajshahi border

A Bangladeshi national was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Char Kanaipara border area in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi early today.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 30, son of Kadam Ali of the area and was a cattle trader.

Abu Farhad, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said BSF troops opened fire on Kalam as he went to the area for bringing cattle, leaving him injured.

He was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead, the OC added.
