British Council to be reopened ‘soon’

British Council will be reopened to the public “soon,” said Alison Blake, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, today.

It will be reopened after completion of its infrastructure work, she said after meeting Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan at his secretariat office, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

Blake also expressed her satisfaction on the overall security status of Bangladesh after in the aftermath of Dhaka café attack that killed 20 people, mostly foreigners, on July 1.

On the other hand, Home Minister Kamal said his government is prepared to ensure all out security according to the wish of British High Commissioner.
