Border Security Force (BSF) today detained four Bangladeshi children from the Indian side of the Bangladesh-India border at Hili area, south of Dinajpur.
All the four detainees, Emon Islam, Shagor Mali, Chanchal Mali and Khokon Mohonto alias Badhon have been sent to a safe home by court after they were handed over to Child Welfare Committee.
All of them, hailing from Naogaon district, are under 18 years of age, our Kolkata correspondent reports quoting Suruj Das, a local official concerned. The detainees entered India crossing the barbed wire fence of the Indian border at Hili.
The four youth will be sent back to Bangladesh after assessment of their nationality along with 21 other youths in the safe home, said B M Jamal Hosen, an official of Bangladesh embassy in India.
