Bird hunter arrested

Police yesterday arrested a bird hunter from Chachra area in Jessore town and seized ten froreign birds from his possession.

The arrestee is Abul Hossain, 35, son of late Shahadat Hossain of Durgapur village in Sharsha upazila of the district.

Sub-Inspector Syed Bayezid Ahmed, also in-charge of Chachra Police Outpost, said, police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Abul.

Abul collected the birds from Dhaka for smuggling to India, police said.
