Jatiya Party Lawmaker Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu today demanded immediate resignation of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid for his failure to stop the menace of question paper leak in public examinations.

Speaking on a point of order in the parliament, Bablu also called upon Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to sack Nahid and appoint another minister to save millions of student’s education life.

Coming down heavily on the education minister, Bablu said question leakage in different examinations has turned epidemic as it is taking place frequently.

“The education minister has declared Tk 5 lakh bounty to nab persons involved in question paper leakage. But advertisement inviting money for getting leaked question papers is available in social media even today,” Bablu said.

“We have achieved a lot in the last several years. But all will go in vain if we cannot educate our next generation in true sense,” he said.

Deputy Speaker M Fazle Rabbi Mia, who was presiding over the sitting of the House at that time said the prime minister certainly listened the speech and she would definitely take necessary measures for the sake of the nation.

The premier, also Leader of the House, was present in the parliament at that time.
