Azimpur raid: 3 female militants remanded
A Dhaka court today placed three female militants, who were detained in the Azimpur raid on September 10, on a seven-day remand each.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Nur Nabi passed the order after Ahsanul Haque, assistant commissioner of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit and also the investigation officer in the case produced them before it with a 10-day remand prayer.
The law enforcers have sent the three militants to the court earlier in the day, a day into their release from Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media wing.
A militant was killed and the three women were injured during a police raid at a house in the capital's Azimpur.
On the next day, police filed a case against several suspected militants, including the three women with Lalbagh Police Station.
