ACC to face trouble if disturbs Rajuk: Housing minister
Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain today said that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will face trouble if it goes for a drive in Rajdhani Unnyan Kartripakha to create disturbance there.
“The Anti-Corruption Commission is allowed in Rajuk. But it will face trouble if goes there to create a disturbance,” he told reporters at a meet the press programme at Dhaka Reporters Unity today.
The ACC on August 29 arrested two senior officials of the Rajuk for alleged involvement in misappropriating of Tk 3.46 crore from the government funds.
They are Sydur Rahman, superintendent engineer of Rajuk Uttara Apartment Project, and Monwarul Islam, executive engineer and project director of Gulshan-Banani-Baridhara and Uttara Lake Development Project.
Rajuk officials and employees demonstrated for several days stopping their works and the situation becomes normal after the interference of the minister.
He said nobody is transparent, if anyone looks into files for a personal benefit then it creates a problem.
