6 Jamaat-Shibir men among 61 held in Jhenidah

Police arrested 61 people, including six activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir, in a special drive from different parts of Jhenidah today.

Additional superintendent of Police Azbahar Ali Sheikh said law enforcers conducted a drive in different places of six upazilas in the district from Saturday night to Sunday morning and arrested them on various charges.

Among the arrestees, there were five Jamaat men and one Shibir activist, he added.
