3 remanded in Tripura girl murder case

A court here yesterday granted a three-day remand for three men in a case for killing a fourth grader student after rape.

The accused are Shah Alam, 32, Nazrul Islam alias Bhandari, 32, and Monir Hossain, 38. They were arrested on Monday, said Abdus Samad, officer-in-charge of Dighinala Police Station.

Kirtika Tripura, a Class IV student of Noimile Tripura Guchchhagram Government Primary School in Dighinala, was killed after rape on Saturday.
