3 JMB men arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three alleged members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Ruyerbhag village in Sadar upazila early yesterday.

They also seized books on jihad, leaflets and diaries from their possession.

The arrestees are Jahidul Islam, 30, of Maharajpur village in Gurudaspur upazila, Amzad Hossain, 42, of Gunaihati village in Baraigram upazila and Zahir Uddin, 40, of Lalpur upazila.

Major Shibli Mostofa, company commander of Rab-5, said on secret information, they raided a mango orchard at the village and arrested the trio with the books, leaflets and diaries.
