3 of a family electrocuted in Kurigram

Three members of a family were electrocuted in Bhurungamari upazila of Kurigram last night.

The deceased are Chhobiron Begum, 42, wife of Azizar Rahman, her son Saiful Islam, 25, and Saifur’s wife Momtaz Begum, 20, reports our Kurigram correspondent.

Zia Latiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhurungamari Police Station, said Saiful came in contact with a life electric wire when he was checking power line around 10:00pm yesterday.

Chhabiron and Momtaz were electrocuted when they tried to save him.
