Correction
We inadvertently misquoted an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) officer in an online report published Tuesday under the headline ‘Army denies permission to bury Koko at its Banani graveyard’. The report quoted Nurul Islam, ISPR assistant director, as saying that the department had not received any application for Koko’s burial at the Banani graveyard. The officer denied to have said this to The Daily Star Online. We withdrew the quote as soon as the matter was brought to our notice. We sincerely apologise for this.
