Distribute relief but ensure physical distancing: Chandpur police
Chandpur district police officials today urged everyone distributing relief among those in need to make sure standards of physical distancing are being maintained to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The police officials made sure that physical distancing was maintained when they distributed relief at Koralia Government Primary School grounds in the district.
The authorities first selected a field and drew circles as a measure of the distance that needs to be maintained when people stand next to each other.
After ensuring everyone was maintaining distance between each other, authorities distributed the relief, Jahed Pervez Chowdhury, additional superintendent of Chandpur Police (Sadar Circle), told The Daily Star.

Meanwhile, Chandpur district administration today opened three eateries to feed marginalised people once a day during the ongoing 10-day shutdown in the country due to coronavirus pandemic.
The eateries were opened at Chandpur Railway Station, Hawkers market and Notunbazar intersection in the district town under the supervision of the district administration, said Md Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman, additional deputy commissioner of the district (revenue).
"We are maintaining physical distancing while providing the food among the people who have been badly affected due to the coronavirus outbreak," he told our Chandpur correspondent.
On the first day, at least 200 people in need were provided free food, the ADC said adding that the initiative will continue until normalcy returns.
