Covid-19: Samples of those travelling abroad to be tested at Army Stadium, says DGHS
The Health Directorate has decided to test Covid-19 samples of Bangladeshi citizens going abroad at the Bangladesh Army Stadium from now.
Prof Dr Mohammod Robed Amin, spokesperson of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), came up with the announcement at a virtual bulletin over the Covid-19 situation in the country this noon.
The activities of DNCC RT-PCR have been shifted to the Army Stadium to provide more advanced lab services for expatriates, he said.
The samples of people going abroad for the Covid-19 test also will be collected from Bangladesh Army Stadium now instead of the DNCC booth in city's Mohakhali area.
Prof Robed said the authorities earlier collected Coronavirus samples of expatriates at the DNCC booth. But now the Covid-19 patients are being treated there as it has been designated as a coronavirus-dedicated hospital.
