Three people including a police constable were killed and 15 injured as a truck collided with a bus in Rajbari Sadar upazila early today.

The deceased were identified as constable Rubel Hossain of Meherpur district, Delwar Hossain and Harun Sheikh of Bagerhat district, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports.

Hossain Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Pangsha Highway Police Station, said the accident took place when a truck hit a bus of Diganta Paribahan on Daulatdia-Khulna highway in Nimtala area around 1:30am.

Two passengers of the bus -- Delwar and Harun -- died on the spot while Rubel succumbed to his injuries at Faridpur Medical College and Hospital around 4:00am.
