Competition on Liberation War history begins in Ctg tomorrow

Aiming to let the young generation know about the history of Liberation War and to imbue them with the spirit of the war, a two-day competition will begin at Jela Shilpakala Academy in Chittagong city tomorrow.

Research Centre for Bangladesh Freedom Struggle and Liberation War Trust Chittagong, will organise the competition, said the organisers at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club yesterday.

A total of six events -- inter-school debate, inter-school quiz, photography, poster, short film and idea generation -- will take place, they added.

Social Scientist Dr Anupam Sen will inaugurate the programme while Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of The Daily Star, will remain present as the chief guest, the said.
