College student found dead in Habiganj

A college student was stabbed to death by unknown criminals in Baniachong upazila of Habiganj last night.

Police recovered body of Tanvir Ahmed (20), son of Majid Mia of Boroiuri village, around 10:00pm yesterday, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports.

Md Emran Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baniachong Police Station, said that the body was sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

The body bore several injury marks, he said.

Quoting locals, he said Tanvir was a student of a college in Habiganj town.

According to Tanvir's father, they had family disputes with a neighbour. His son might have been killed following that dispute, he added.
