Cohen is coming back again
The legendary singer-songwriter, poet and novelist Leonard Cohen, who is considered a renaissance man by his fans, will be celebrating his 80th birthday next month with a new album 'Popular Problems'.
Although Cohen's representative has not confirmed the release, word slipped last week at the officially sanctioned fan convention Leonard Cohen Event 2014 in Dublin, reports Rolling Stone.
"Leonard has worked hard on his next studio album of entirely new songs," read a foreword to the event booklet written by Jarkko Arjatsalo, who runs Cohen's authorised fan site.
"He asked me to let you know that Popular Problems will be out at the end of September, shortly after his 80th birthday," Arjatsalo added.
In an e-mail to Rolling Stone, Arjatsalo confirmed the statement and said he received the information "directly from Leonard."
