11 sub-sectors identified for value chain development
World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) released its first “National Value Chain Assessment Report” yesterday, identifying 11 potential sub-sectors for developing and strengthening the value chain.
The humanitarian organisation held a national-level workshop titled “Learning for Change” to release the report, said a press release.
Around 22,000 small holder producers will be linked to these value chains, thus ensuring their access to market, profit-making and increase in households income, the press release added. The initiative aims to impact around 1 lakh people.
The assessment was conducted by WVB in 38 locations in 18 districts, ensuring participation of 750 people.
