Worker killed in workplace accident in Ctg

An elderly worker died after a wooden plank fell on him inside an iron factory in Boro Kumira area of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong yesterday.

Ismail, 79, was from Joyrampur area of Damurhuda in Chuadanga, said police.

Chittagong Medical College Hospital police said the incident took place while Ismail was working in an under construction building on the factory premises.

The plank fell on his head from the second floor of the building, said police.
