Tribunal records testimonies of two PWs
The International Crimes Tribunal-1 yesterday recorded testimonies of two prosecution witnesses in a case filed against nine Jessore men, including former Jamaat-e-Islami and BNP lawyer Shakhawat Hossain for allegedly committing crimes during the 1971 Liberation War.
Rabiul Anam Khan, an employee of Press Institute of Bangladesh, and Anisur Rahman, a librarian of tribunal's investigation agency, gave testimonies as the 14th and 15th prosecution witnesses in the case.
The two witnesses exhibited several documents, which the investigation officer collected and the prosecution submitted those to the tribunal as their evidence. As the defence counsels completed their cross-examination, the tribunal adjourned the case proceeding until May 30 when it will record the testimony of the investigation officer of the case. Others accused are: Billal Hossain Biswas, Ibrahim Hossain, Sheikh Md Mujibur Rahman, Kazi Ohidul Islam, Aziz Sardar, Aziz Sardar (2), Lutfar Morol and Abdul Khaleq Morol.
