Tight contest for RU admission

Around 38 admission seekers will vie for one seat in the admission tests for honours programmes of Rajshahi University (RU) for the academic session 2016-2017.

A total of 1, 78,949 admission seekers have applied against 4,713 seats under nine units and two institutes, said RU sources, adding that 554 seats will be reserved for indigenous and physically challenged students, and children of freedom fighters and RU teachers and officials.

A unit has 941 seats while B unit has 200, C unit has 660, D unit has 520, E unit has 808, F unit has 426, G unit has 212, H unit has 272, and I unit has 120 seats.

The admission tests under B and D units will be held on October 24 while tests under C and H units will be held on October 25. The tests under A, G and I units will be held on October 26 and tests under E and F units will be held on October 27. The schedules and seat plans will be available at RU Website www.ru.ac.bd .
