Three killed, 20 injured in three districts

Three people were killed and at least 20 others injured in road accidents in Narsingdi, Bogra and Chittagong yesterday.

BSS from Narsingdi reports, two people were killed and four others injured as a microbus hit a truck from behind on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Khalapara area of Shibpur upazila in the early hours, said police.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The injured were admitted to Narsingdi General Hospital.

Our Bogra correspondent reports, one Nurunnabi, 65, was killed and at least seven others were injured as a bus and a truck collided head-on on Bogra-Rangpur highway in Baghopara area of Sadar upazila.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Our staff correspondent from Chittagong adds, nine people were injured as a bus hit a roadside tree as the driver lost control over steering in Shantirhat area of Patiya upazila.

The injured passengers were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, said police.
