Sylhet Tabligh-Jamaat leader's body found with throat slit

Police recovered the body of a Tabligh-Jamaat leader with the throat slit from his bedroom in Sawdagartula area of Sylhet city yesterday morning.
Ibrahim Abu Khalil, 55, was the ameer of Sylhet Dhopadighirpar unit of Tabligh-Jamaat. A laptop and some gold ornaments were also missing.
Police suspected that Khalil was killed over previous enmity. One his three wives and one of his sons were detained for interrogation. The body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
