Schoolgirl 'commits' suicide

A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree at Jaintapur in Sylhet yesterday.

The deceased Priyanka Biswas, 14, daughter of Nipul Biswas of Chhailakhel village was a class-six student of Sharighat High School.

As is her daily routine, Priyanka left school at tiffin break around lunch time. Later, locals found her hanging from a tree beside her school, said school Headmaster Badiuzzaman.
