Saheed Sinha Gold Medal introduced at DU

'Saheed Sinha Gold Medal' has been introduced at the Department of International Relations (IR) of Dhaka University (DU) yesterday.

Esmat Saheed, wife of late Abu Naseem Md Saheed Sinha handed over a cheque for Tk 10 lakh to DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin.

Izzat Tanzeen Hossain, daughter of late Saheed Sinha has donated the money in memory of her father, a language movement hero who obtained his Masters degree from IR in 1960.  Out of the income of this donation, every year two meritorious students with the highest CGPA in Bachelor of Social Science and Masters of Social Science examinations will be given medals.
