Road crashes kill 6
Six people were killed and two others injured in road accidents in five districts yesterday.
Our Bogra correspondent reports, a truck hit four people on Bogra-Dhaka highway in Shajahanpur upazila, killing two of them and injuring the other.
The deceased were Abdul Aziz, 55, of Dhunat upazila; and Hawya Begum, 35, wife of Ashraf Ali of Shajahanpur upazila.
Anowara Bewya, 60, and Idrish Ali, 40, were taken to Shaheed Zaiur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
Our Rangpur correspondent reports, a motorcyclist died instantly as a covered-van hit him at the city's Hajirhat in the afternoon.
The deceased was Md Faruk Hossain, 38, son of Md Alamgir Hossain of the city's Uttam-Betarpara area.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, a biker was killed as his motorbike was hit by a battery-run three-wheeler on Joypurhat-Akkelpur road at Paikertoli village in Joypurhat.
The deceased was Md Firoz Hossain, 38, of Joypurhat Sadar upazila.
Our Lalmonirhat correspondent reports, a truck hit a man killing him instantly on Lalmonirhar-Burimari highway in Saptibari Majhar area of Aditmari upazila.
The victim was Abu Miah, 63, of Majhar village in the upazila.
Our Thakurgaon correspondent adds, Bayojid Shah, 8, son of Mozibar Rahman, was killed as a truck hit him while he was crossing Tentulia-Banglabandha highway at Ranchandi village in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh.
