Road crashes kill 4, injure 2

Three people, including two of a family, were killed and two others injured as a picnic bus hit them while they were standing beside the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Highway in Lohagara upazila of Chittagong yesterday.

The deceased were Sumita Rani Dey, 28, her daughter Shibu Rani Dey, 06, and Arefa Begum, 50, of the upazila.

The bus driver lost his control over the steering while trying to give side to a motorcycle coming from opposite direction. The bus was carrying workers and staff of a garment factory.

In Panchagarh Sadar, Asadur Rahman, 18, of Birathjoth village was killed when his tractor fell into a roadside ditch in Satmera Muhurijoth village yesterday.
