Road crashes kill 2, hurt 37

A pedestrian was killed and 30 passengers of a BRTC bus and a three-wheeler were injured in an accident involving the two vehicles on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway at Sahabdipur village of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi yesterday.

Hasan Ali, 25, son of Akbar Ali, of Sahabdipur village of Godagari, died on the spot as the bus after hitting the three-wheeler turned turtle and fell on him. Twelve of the injured were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital while 10 other to Premtoli Health Complex, reports our Rajshahi correspondent.

Our Chittagong staff correspondent adds, a woman was killed and seven others were injured as a bus overturned at Jamirjuri Raster Matha in Chandanaish upazila yesterday. The deceased was Soma Chowdhury, 30, of Patiya.
